Delhi Traffic Advisory For AI Summit 2026: With the AI Summit scheduled at India Gate from 16 to 20 February, Delhi Police and the city’s traffic department have announced a special traffic management plan for Central and Lutyens’ Delhi. Increased VVIP movement during the event is expected to lead to road diversions and traffic restrictions across several key routes.

According to jagran.com, around 34 schools within a five-kilometre radius of India Gate will be affected by the plan.

Additional Commissioner of Traffic Police Dinesh Kumar Gupta stated that nodal officers from the Education Department and traffic police will be posted at all affected schools to ensure that students’ movement is not disrupted. “Several schools serve as board exam centres, where approximately 2,943 students will be taking exams,” he added.

As these schools are located near VVIP routes, local traffic is likely to be directly impacted.

Several major hotels in the area have been reserved to host foreign and domestic delegates attending the summit, which could further contribute to congestion. Notable hotels include The Oberoi, Taj Mahal Hotel, The Claridges, Le Meridien, The Imperial, The Leela, Taj Palace, ITC Maurya, Hyatt, and The Ashok.
