In a bid to enhance metro connectivity, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has begun the tender process for the construction of Phase 5 (A) of the Central Vista Corridor, which will include the construction of an underground corridor tunnel from Shivaji Stadium to Kartavya Bhavan.
The section is set to house two underground metro stations: Central Secretariat and Kartavya Bhawan, as part of the RK Ashram-Indraprastha Metro line approved in Phase 5A. The Central Government has recently approved Aerocity-Airport Terminal 1, Tughlakabad-Kalindi Kunj and RK Ashram-Indraprastha corridors under Phase V (A) of Delhi Metro.

The North and South Blocks will be converted into a museum, called the Museum of the Ages of India. The line will also connect the buildings of the Kartavya Path.
Stations on the section will include:
- RK Ashram Marg
- Shivaji Stadium
- Central Secretariat
- Kartavya Bhavan
- Baroda House
- India Gate
- War Memorial-High Court
- Bharat Mandapam
- Indraprastha
This corridor is set to enhance the connectivity to all buildings along the Kartavya Path in Central Vista, benefiting approximately 60,000 office-goers and 2,00,000 visitors daily.
