Indian spinner Rahul Chahar announced his separation from his wife Ishani Johar on Friday, revealing that he gone through the most difficult time in his recent Instagram post. The confirmation of the divorce came a few days before the couple's fourth marriage anniversary.

Rahul married Ishani in Goa on March 9, 2022, when he was just 22 years old. The cricketer disclosed that in order to tell his truth, he had spent 15 months of his life traversing courtrooms. He also revealed how much his divorce had cost him. The 26-year-old has been a promising performer in the IPL cricket and domestic circuit, having also represented the Indian team. His last appearance for India came way back in November 2021. He has played an ODI match and six T20I matches for the Men in Blue, taking 10 wickets in international cricket.

"I entered marriage at a young age, before I fully understood myself, my worth, or the life I truly wanted to build. What followed were years of lessons I never expected, and the last fifteen months spent navigating courtrooms, learning patience, resilience, and the strength that some find in truth," he wrote on his Instagram post.

"Today, that chapter of my life formally comes to a close. After due legal process, the matter has been settled with my resolution, which cost a lot, bringing finality to this phase of my life. I close this chapter not with anger or regret, but with clarity. Some relationships are not meant to last forever; they are meant to awaken us, teach us. and transform us. I move forward wiser, more self-aware, and certain of the life I deserve to build," he added.

Rahul will soon be in action in the IPL 2026. He was bought by the Chennai Super Kings for an impressive amount of Rs 5.2 crore in the auction. Last season, he played just one game for the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), going wicketless. So far in his IPL career, Chahar has bagged 75 wickets in 79 matches. He was part of the Mumbai Indians (MI)'s title-winning sides in 2019 and 2020.
