IPL 2026 Auction Players List: The full list of players who have been shortlisted for the upcoming IPL 2026 auction has been announced, with all 10 teams set and geared up to spend big money to bolster their respective squads. The IPL 2026 auction is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16.
A total of 1390 players registered for the Player Auction, out of which 350 players were shortlisted by the BCCI, including 240 Indian players, whereas 110 are overseas recruits. In a major change, a total of 1005 players were removed from the initial player pool before 35 new entries were included.
The pool comprises 224 uncapped Indian players and 14 uncapped overseas players, adding significant depth and fresh talent to this year’s roster for the mini auction. Franchises are set to compete to fill 77 remaining slots, including 31 spots reserved for overseas players. The highest reserve price remains INR 2 crore, with 40 players choosing to enter the auction in this bracket.

All 10 teams will collectively be allowed to spend Rs 237.55 crore to spend at the 2026 IPL auction. Kolkata Knight Riders will be heading into the event with the biggest purse of Rs 64.3 crore and have a total of 13 remaining slots, including six overseas players. The five-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings follow with Rs 43.4 crore in hand to fill nine vacancies in their roster.
In total, 173 players, including 49 overseas cricketers, were retained by the ten cricket teams combined. Punjab Kings, last year’s runners-up, opted for the most stability by retaining 21 players, while Gujarat Titans have held on to 20.
