ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Points Table: Australia defeated Oman by 9 wickets in match 40 of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2026 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. While Australia ended their disappointing campaign on a high, the group stage of the tournament ended, with Super 8s set to kick off on Saturday, February 21.

Having missed out on the Super 8 qualification, Australia produced a dominating effort as they chased down the 105-run target in just 9.4 overs on the back of an outstanding effort from skipper Mitchell Marsh. He smashed his fifty in just 26 balls and went on to play a fiery knock of 64 runs with the help of seven fours and four sixes. On the other hand, Travis Head produced a key contribution of 32 runs in just 19 deliveries.

Entering the game with only pride at stake after their shocking group-stage exit following losses to Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, seasoned leg-spinner Adam Zampa led the way with four wickets as Australia's bowlers fired in unison to bundle out Oman for 104 in 16.2 overs. On the other hand, Xavier Bartlett and Glenn Maxwell took two wickets apiece.
