2026 Hyundai i20:  Hyundai, the South Korean car manufacturer, has recently teased the upcoming 2026 Hyundai i20 again. Notably, the popular premium hatchback by the brand was introduced in the country in 2008, and it is sold in its third-generation guise in the Indian market. The brand is expected to launch the new-generation i20 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Let’s take a look at the expected design, features, and specs of the upcoming 2026 Hyundai i20 premium hatchback.

Next-Gen Hyundai i20: Design

The recent teaser of the next-gen Hyundai i20 confirms that it will feature a full-width LED light bar at the front. Additionally, the premium hatchback is expected to get Y-shaped LED DRLs with a sleek headlight setup, and a connected taillight setup at the rear is also much anticipated. The teaser also suggests that the premium hatchback will feature a more upright stance, and it is expected to carry a more SUV-like stance.

Next-Gen Hyundai i20: Interior

Notably, the interior of the upcoming 2026 Hyundai i20 has also been spied on one of the test mules recently in Scandinavia. The spy shots suggest that the next-gen Hyundai i20 might feature a curved dual-display setup inside the cabin with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a similarly sized digital instrument cluster. A redesigned dashboard and more premium upholstery materials are also anticipated. We also expect the upcoming next-gen Hyundai i20 to feature a Level 2 ADAS suite, a 360-degree camera, a dash cam, and more to enhance occupant safety.

Next-Gen Hyundai i20: Engine Specs

While the next-gen Hyundai i20 is expected to receive massive exterior and interior changes, it will likely retain the same powertrain options as the current model on sale. However, the brand is expected to introduce a hybrid powertrain for the International markets. In India, we expect the next-gen Hyundai i20 to continue drawing power from either a 1.2-litre petrol engine or a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine offered with the N-line variant.
