Jetour T2 SUV Safety Rating:  JSW Motors has partnered with Chinese car manufacturer, Chery to begin its journey as an independent car brand in the Indian market. The brand’s first car is expected to be based on the Chery Jetour T2 SUV, which was recently teased by the brand in an advertisement to recruit new dealer partners, and it is anticipated to be launched by Diwali 2026 in the country. The Chery Jetour T2 has scored a 5-star safety rating in the ASEAN NCAP ahead of its India debut. Let’s take a look at the safety ratings, features, and specs of the upcoming JSW Motors’ Jetour T2-based SUV.

Jetour T2 SUV: Safety Ratings

As informed earlier, the Jetour T2 has secured 5 out of 5 stars in a crash test organized by ASEAN NCAP. The SUV has scored 29.74 points out of a maximum of 32 points in terms of Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). In terms of Child Occupant Protection (COP), the SUV has scored a total of 40.63 points out of a maximum of 51 points. The SUV has also scored 18 points out of a maximum of 21 points in terms of safety assist.

Jetour T2 SUV: Features

The Chery Jetour T2 SUV comes equipped with some of the most advanced features. It features a 15.6-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, a dual-zone climate control system, ventilated leather seats, and a panoramic sunroof. The Jetour T2 SUV also enhances passenger safety by featuring Level 2 ADAS functionalities.

Jetour T2 SUV: Specs

The Chery Jetour T2-based SUV is offered with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and an all-electric variant in the international market. However, as per several media reports, the brand will be bringing the PHEV variant of the SUV to India. The PHEV variant comes equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine integrated with the 26.7 kWh battery pack. The PHEV variant also features both the Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) and the All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) options, and it can produce a peak power and torque output of 154 hp and 220 Nm, respectively.
